A true immersion in the vineyards of Bordeaux. Our first visit to Bordeaux was a wonderful experience, immersing us in the city’s most iconic sites and the world’s most famous wine châteaux. Audrey, our guide—who, by the way, speaks Italian very well—introduced us to them, tailoring the tour perfectly to our needs and requests. She did a fantastic job! We’ll definitely be back!

The most conscientious, thoughtful, fun, and knowledgeable guide who truly listens to what you want. We had the most AMAZING experience with Audrey. She listened to what we wanted (in our case, about Greening Bordeaux) and put together a tailor-made trip full of specific places, people to talk to, planted areas, buildings, history… more than we could ever have expected. We can’t wait to go on a wine tour with her! She is conscientious, knowledgeable, caring, and such a lovely person to be around. We feel so lucky to have had her as our guide and simply to have gotten to know her as a person. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!!

Amazing personalized wine tour—off the beaten path. Before traveling to Bordeaux, I did a lot of research on the best ways to visit the wineries and châteaux. Driving myself wasn’t an option, and I definitely didn’t want to join large tour groups or visit the big, touristy wineries. At first, a private guide seemed too expensive—but then I discovered Audrey and her company, Les Voyages du vin. She’s an absolute gem, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! She listened carefully to my requests and proposed an itinerary that was spot-on. We started Day 1 by spending about 2–3 hours walking around Bordeaux, learning about the history of wine in this beautiful city, and finished with a wine tasting to introduce us to a number of appellations and set the stage for the next two days. Laurie was our chauffeur for the next two days, and she’s another gem I can’t recommend highly enough. The car (a Tesla) was spotless, and every need was taken care of. Day 2 consisted of a full day on the Left Bank, where Audrey introduced us to four wineries/châteaux—each carefully chosen with an emphasis on biodynamic and organic farming, authentic small-scale owner-operated operations, and most of them dating back to the Middle Ages. The wines were outstanding, and the châteaux were absolutely delightful (imagine an ancient château hidden in a forest with horses grazing as you enter; or a château that has been passed down from mother to daughter since the 1500s and is still in the same family today). We hardly encountered any other tourists and were never rushed. We had a wonderful picnic at one of the châteaux for lunch. Day 3 took us to the right bank for the entire day and was just as good as Day 2. We visited three wineries/châteaux plus St. Émilion for a short guided tour. Day 2 also included two very specific personal requests, and Audrey went out of her way to make them happen. It was an absolutely perfect end to the day, and we couldn’t have asked for more. For anyone interested in learning more about wine, who cares about sustainable farming, and wants to explore authentic, delightful wineries off the beaten path—Audrey is your go-to person!!

A wonderful couple of tours in Bordeaux. We were in Bordeaux as part of a cruise, and a friend of ours in the wine business suggested that we contact Audrey at Les Voyages du Vin to arrange tours of the area. We first took a half-day tour with her that included a visit to a winery in Pessac-Leognan, followed by a tour of the historic city of Bordeaux. Both were great experiences. We tasted some excellent wine in Pessac-Leognan and learned a lot about the region and its wines. The tour of Bordeaux was also wonderful, focusing on the city’s history (which is fascinating) and ending with a wine tasting at a local restaurant. Audrey then recommended an excellent place for dinner. The next morning, we headed out to St. Émilion. We first stopped for a tour of a winery that included a wine tasting and an excellent lunch next to the vineyard. We then went to the town of St. Émilion, where Audrey told us about the area’s history. We visited a winery there for a tour that included a walk through the subterranean limestone caves—carved into the area over many years—and concluded with another wine tasting. Both of these days were unforgettable. Audrey did a phenomenal job organizing the tours and tastings, selecting wonderful wineries we never would have found on our own. Her knowledge of the area’s history and winemaking practices is extensive. Finally, she is engaging and a lot of fun to be around. We highly recommend her tours of Bordeaux and hope she can help us with tours in other regions she covers, including Corsica and Italy. If you’re in this area and have any interest in wine, do your best to book a tour with her.
